I just purchased a tractor called a kubota B1-14-D. Under the hood it is written in felt pen B6200. I have seen pics of the 6200 and it looks like the same unit. I need a gear for the transmission and need to know where to get it. The tractor only has 132 hours on it.

Do you have a dealer near you? Request parts for the B-6200. You might want to start with a few small parts like filters. You wouldn't want to buy a bunch of parts that are wrong! ....

Hi Art, thanks for your reply. All of the engine components are for the 6200 so I may be lucky with the transmission gear. All the specs on this tractor are the same as the 6200 (3 speed pto 3 speed trans with hi and low range) I have seen a few pics on the internet and the 6200 looks identical other then the grille and headlights. The tractor I have is a gray market unit, but I think that is worth the risk because it has only 130 hours on it and it also has a next to new ft end loader. I paid $3000.00 for it. ....

Have you looked at the stamping embedded into the left side of the chassis, above the step and below the clutch pedal, for the model, engine series and factory serial number of the tractor. It should read something like: B6200DT 850 5xxxxx. You will need this information to order parts from a Kubota dealer or source. My understanding is that dealers do not care to do business for "grey market" units. Hope this helps. ....

No, they do not want to do busineess with us grey market owners which I do not agree with as we own a product made by thier company. Kubota is supposed to be the worst for this. The chassis is stamped B1402 -(serial #) so I assume this is a B1402Dt. The part problem has put us 2 weeks behind on our landscaping project so I went out yesterday and bought an Agco ST 25 Brand new. I now have 4 hours on it and I am very happy with it. I guess I will try to get the gear from Europe and then put this unit back together and sell it. ....

This link is for an official list of "grey market" Kubota equipment:
http://www.kubota.com/f/products/listgray.cfm
Your B1402 is shown.
There is a company in Texas that deals in "grey market" equipment. A good search should turn it up. Could be a source for parts. Also, there is a cross reference list for the relationship between Kubota "Standard US" model numbers and "grey market" equipment that can be used to order the correct part(s) you need from a US Kubota dealer. The grey B1402 could be a US B6200 in disguise. ....

Just a small note, I really doubt that the unit really only has 132 hours on it and it probably has been around. ....
